FixCo Property Services Ltd — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all works and services provided by FixCo Property Services Ltd ("FixCo"). By accepting a quotation or instructing FixCo to commence work, you agree to these terms.
1. Quotations
1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
1.2 Quotations are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to revision if additional work is required or unforeseen issues are discovered.
1.3 Any additional work requested by the customer will be discussed and agreed before it is undertaken and may incur additional charges.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Payment is due within 24 hours of completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2 Payment may be made by bank transfer or other agreed payment methods.
2.3 FixCo reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with applicable legislation.
3. Materials
3.1 Unless otherwise stated, quotations include labour only.
3.2 Materials supplied by FixCo remain the property of the company until paid for in full.
3.3 Customer-supplied materials are installed at the customer's risk. FixCo accepts no liability for defects, failures or suitability of customer-supplied products.
4. Access and Customer Responsibilities
4.1 The customer shall provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area.
4.2 The customer is responsible for removing or protecting valuables, furniture and personal belongings where necessary.
4.3 Delays caused by restricted access or unforeseen site conditions may result in additional charges.
5. Workmanship Guarantee
5.1 FixCo provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee on completed works.
5.2 The guarantee covers defects arising directly from workmanship only.
5.3 The guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental damage.
- Customer misuse.
- Movement, settlement or deterioration of existing structures.
- Defects in customer-supplied materials.
- Manufacturer defects covered under separate warranties.
- Damage caused by third parties.
5.4 Any claim under the workmanship guarantee must be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Insurance
6.1 FixCo maintains Public Liability Insurance with indemnity cover of up to £2,000,000 through Direct Line Business Insurance.
6.2 Evidence of insurance can be provided upon request.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 FixCo shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or economic losses arising from the works.
7.2 Liability for any claim relating to works undertaken shall not exceed the value of the original contract unless required by law.
8. Waste Removal
8.1 Waste removal and disposal will only be included where specifically stated within the quotation.
8.2 Disposal charges may apply where waste removal has been requested.
9. Cancellations
9.1 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the agreed appointment may be subject to a cancellation charge.
9.2 Any materials purchased specifically for the project may be chargeable if the project is cancelled after materials have been ordered.
10. Complaints
10.1 Any concerns regarding completed works should be raised within 14 days of completion.
10.2 FixCo will be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify any workmanship-related issues before third-party contractors are engaged.
11. Acceptance
11.1 Acceptance of a quotation or commencement of work shall be deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
